EMERGING RESEARCH IN HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE

Homoeopathy has always rested on individualisation — the claim that the remedy follows the patient rather than the diagnosis. What has changed is the expectation that this claim be demonstrated in the language of contemporary clinical research: defined outcome scales, documented repertorisation, transparent follow-up and honest reporting of what the evidence does and does not yet support. This volume gathers twelve contributions that work in exactly that register. They range across metabolic and hepatic disease, gynaecological and endocrine conditions, paediatric developmental delay and acute illness, sleep and attention disorders, musculoskeletal pain, functional gut disorders, oral medicine and recurrent childhood wheezing. Each chapter sets out the conventional clinical picture, reviews the available trial and observational evidence, and then examines the scope for individualised homoeopathic management within it. Throughout, the contributors keep two commitments. Remedies are discussed against documented symptom totalities and repertorial sources rather than asserted, and the limits of the current evidence base are stated rather than glossed. The result is a collection intended to be useful in the outpatient department and defensible in a seminar room.
